# Proof of Address

> Configure proof of address document requirements, accepted types, recency rules, and geographical settings in the iDenfy dashboard.

**Location:** **Settings** → **Know Your Customer (KYC)** → **Proof of Address**

## Settings

### POA Verification

Requires users to provide a proof of address document during the identity verification process. This is the master toggle — the settings below only take effect when this is enabled.

### Address Verification

Enables address verification for identity verifications that include a proof of address step. When active, the system validates the address data extracted from the submitted document.

### Allowed POA Documents

Specifies which document types are accepted as proof of address. Available options:

* Bank statement
* Credit card bill or statement
* Water bill
* Electricity bill
* Gas bill
* Telephone bill
* Internet bill
* Bank reference letter
* Mortgage statement or contract
* Letter issued by a public authority
* Company payslip
* Car or home insurance policy
* Car registration
* Authorized change of address form
* Letter of employment
* Official letter from an educational institution
* Municipality bill or government tax letter
* Residence permit
* Lease agreement for your residence
* Other

### Allowed POA Countries

Specifies which countries' proof of address documents are accepted. Only documents from the selected countries will pass. If left empty, documents from all countries are accepted.

### POA Country Match

Ensures the country on the proof of address document matches the country on the identity document. Useful for enforcing that both documents relate to the same jurisdiction.

### Block POA Screenshots

Blocks the submission of proof of address documents as screenshots. When enabled, users must provide an original digital file (PDF) or a photo of a physical document.

### POA Issuing Date Range

Sets the maximum age of an accepted proof of address document. Only documents issued within the selected timeframe are accepted.

Available options: **1 month**, **3 months**, **6 months**, **1 year**, **2 years**.
