Location: Settings → Know Your Customer (KYC) → Biometric & Liveness This section allows you to configure how the system verifies the physical presence of your user and the authenticity of their document. These settings are crucial for preventing the use of screenshots, printed photos, or digital displays during the verification process.Documentation Index

Document Detection Strictness
There are two primary strictness settings used to prevent the submission of non-original documents. Both allow you to select betweenSoft, Regular, or Hard levels.
- Document Liveness Check: Must be toggled on to enable the settings below. Ensures your user is submitting a physical document in real-time.
- Copy Detection Strictness: Controls how strictly the system denies printed or photocopied documents.
- Screen Detection Strictness: Controls how strictly the system denies documents shown on digital screens (tablets, monitors).
Higher strictness levels (
Hard) increase security but may result in more frequent automatic denials for legitimate users with poor lighting or low-quality cameras.Liveness Checks
Document liveness check: Enables real-time analysis during capture to confirm the user is presenting an original, physical document rather than a photocopy or digital image. Face liveness check: Enables passive, real-time analysis to ensure the user is a live person. Detects and prevents spoofing attempts using photos, masks, or videos. Active 3D face liveness check: Requires the user to move their head (up, down, left, right) to prove 3D liveness. Enabling this replaces the standard static face capture step and overrides the passive Face liveness check.NFC Settings
Near Field Communication (NFC) reading extracts data directly from the document’s electronic chip, providing the highest level of document authentication.- Optional NFC reading: Invites users with NFC-enabled documents to scan the chip for added security. Users who cannot scan can still proceed with standard verification.
- Required NFC reading: Mandates the NFC chip scan for any document that supports it.
If required NFC is enabled, the verification will be denied if the user fails to scan the chip successfully.
